Halogenated Donor–Acceptor Cyclopropanes as Donor–Acceptor Cyclopropene Surrogates
AbstractHerein we report (3+2)‐cycloaddition reactions of halogenated donor–acceptor cyclopropanes (HDACs) as surrogates for donor–acceptor cyclopropenes. Upon reaction with a variety of 2π‐components, cycloaddition followed by elimination generates the unsaturated five‐membered ring products.

Density Functional Theory Study of Selenium-Substituted Low-Bandgap Donor-Acceptor-Donor Polymer
Theoretical study of an optically transparent, near-infrared-absorbing low energy gap conjugated polymer, donor-acceptor-donor (D-A-D), 2,1,3-benzosele-nadiazole (A) as acceptor and 3,4-ethylenedioxyselenophene (D) as donor fragments, with promising ...

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

A series of acceptor-donor-acceptor-based small molecules (SMs) with varied crystallinity were successfully synthesized. The processing additive can induce the SMs to self-organize as nanofibrils with higher crystallinity and controlled scales of ...

Anisotropic organic magnetoresistance (AOMR) is unlikely and challenging to detect in organic semiconductors, because of their energetic disorder character and random molecular arrangements in solid films. Nevertheless, some fused-ring electron acceptor (

The dFoCC pipeline starts with observed DED and resting‐state coordinates, which are then used to generate a library of triggered states. Correlation analysis of the calculated DED features of each candidate vs observed DED permits quantitative evaluation of candidate structural quality.

Abruptly changing from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (sudden anaerobization) induced growth inhibition and a significant increase in intracellular labile ferrous iron in the aerotolerant anaerobe Amphibacillus xylanus. We found that free flavins mediate efficient electron transfer from NADH to ferric iron under anaerobic conditions, suggesting that ...

Progress in ZnO Acceptor Doping: What Is the Best Strategy?
This paper reviews the recent progress in acceptor doping of ZnO that has been achieved with a focus toward the optimum strategy. There are three main approaches for generating p-type ZnO: substitutional group IA elements on a zinc site, codoping of ...
