Oxygen as Acceptor

EcoSal Plus, 2009
Like most bacteria, Escherichia coli has a flexible and branched respiratory chain that enables the prokaryote to live under a variety of environmental conditions, from highly aerobic to completely anaerobic. In general, the bacterial respiratory chain is composed of dehydrogenases, a quinone pool, and reductases ...

Hydrogen, Acceptors, and H-Acceptor Complexes in GaN

MRS Proceedings, 1995
ABSTRACTWe present ab-initio calculations on energetics and geometries of atomic hydrogen, of several candidate acceptors, and of H-acceptor complexes in wurtzite GaN For the H-Mg complex in Mg-doped GaN, we calculate the vibrational frequencies of H. Hydrogen is found to be a negative-U center.

Acceptor–acceptor-type conjugated polymer semiconductors

Journal of Energy Chemistry, 2021
Abstract The rapid development of electronic devices such as organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) and solar cells makes the research and development of electronic transport materials imminent. The acceptor–acceptor-type (A−A-type) conjugated n-type polymer semiconductors have caught much attention due to the outstanding advantages on excellent ...

Donor?acceptor ?double-cable? polythiophenes with tunable acceptor content

Thin Solid Films, 2004
The use of bipolar materials as an active layer in polymeric solar cells can be an alternative to 'bulk-heterojunctions' composed of donor-acceptor blends. We have prepared two series of polyalkylthiophene copolymers having acceptor molecules covalently grafted to the backbone.

Over 17% Efficiency of Ternary Organic Photovoltaics Employing Two Acceptors with an Acceptor–Donor–Acceptor Configuration

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2021
Ternary organic photovoltaics (OPVs) were constructed with one wide-band-gap donor PM6 and two A-D-A-type acceptors (M-series M36 and MQ5) with similar chemical structures. Power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the optimal ternary OPVs reaches 17.24% with 20 wt % MQ5 content, arising from a simultaneously increased short circuit current density (JSC) of

Acceptor power of cations in donor-acceptor interactions

Russian Journal of General Chemistry, 2007
Published data concerning quantitative evaluation of the reactivity of cations in donor-acceptor interactions were analyzed. The “relative acceptor numbers” of C°2+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Al3+, and Ga3+ were determined polarographically: 2.16±0.32, 2.25±0.23, ∼1.70, 2.35±0.27, and 2.42±0.21, respectively. The known “relative acceptor numbers” for 21 cations were

Extending Hexaazatriphenylene with Mono-/Bithiophenes in Acceptor–Donor Diads and Acceptor–Donor–Acceptor Triads

The Journal of Physical Chemistry C, 2016
Three new hexaazatriphenylene (HAT)-based electron-accepting molecules with octupolar disc-like symmetry that combine the HAT core with six branches of electron-donor thiophenes in two modalities have been synthesized: (i) with six donor thiophenes and bithiophenes delineating a six-donor-to-one-acceptor (6–1) profile and (ii) with six donor–acceptor ...
