Étale motives of geometric origin
Abstract Over qcqs finite‐dimensional schemes, we prove that étale motives of geometric origin can be characterised by a constructibility property which is purely categorical, giving a full answer to the question ‘Do all constructible étale motives come from geometry?’ which dates back to Cisinski and Déglise's work.

Homotopical commutative rings and bispans
Abstract We prove that commutative semirings in a cartesian closed presentable ∞$\infty$‐category, as defined by Groth, Gepner, and Nikolaus, are equivalent to product‐preserving functors from the (2,1)‐category of bispans of finite sets. In other words, we identify the latter as the Lawvere theory for commutative semirings in the ∞$\infty$‐categorical

Gabriel-Ulmer duality for topoi and its relation with site presentations
Let $\kappa$ be a regular cardinal. We study Gabriel-Ulmer duality when one restricts the 2-category of locally $\kappa$-presentable categories with $\kappa$-accessible right adjoints to its locally full sub-2-category of $\kappa$-presentable ...

Purity, ascent and periodicity for Gorenstein flat cotorsion modules
Abstract We investigate purity within the Frobenius category of Gorenstein flat cotorsion modules, which can be seen as an infinitely generated analogue of the Frobenius category of Gorenstein projective objects. As such, the associated stable category can be viewed as an alternative approach to a big singularity category, which is equivalent to Krause'

The Picard group in equivariant homotopy theory via stable module categories
Abstract We develop a mechanism of “isotropy separation for compact objects” that explicitly describes an invertible G$G$‐spectrum through its collection of geometric fixed points and gluing data located in certain variants of the stable module category.

Finiteness properties and relatively hyperbolic groups
Abstract We show that properties Fn$F_n$ and FPn$FP_n$ hold for a relatively hyperbolic group if and only if they hold for all the peripheral subgroups. As an application we show that there are at least countably many distinct quasi‐isometry classes of one‐ended non‐amenable groups that are type Fn$F_n$ but not Fn+1$F_{n+1}$ and similarly of type FPn ...

Groups with exotic finiteness properties from complex Morse theory
Abstract Recent constructions have shown that interesting behaviours can be observed in the finiteness properties of Kähler groups and their subgroups. In this work, we push this further and exhibit, for each integer k$k$, new hyperbolic groups admitting surjective homomorphisms to Z${\mathbb {Z}}$ and to Z2${\mathbb {Z}}^{2}$, whose kernel is of type ...
