Fluoroless cryo-ablation of para-Hisian accessory pathway

open access: yesZdravniški Vestnik, 2017
We present a case of para-Hisian accessory pathway ablation in a patient with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which was performed with cryoablation to reduce the possibility of collateral damage to the conduction system of the heart.

IR Spectroscopic Studies on Water Confined in an Isoreticular MOF Series–Influence of the Metal and Linker Functionality

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Mono‐ and bimetallic isoreticular MOF‐74 analogs with different ratios of Mg2+ and Ni2+ and linkers of different sizes and functionalities are synthesized and loaded with water. With the help of IR spectroscopy, semiquantitative conclusions are drawn regarding the prevalence of differently ordered water species in dependence on the confinement and ...

A new giant species of placented worm and the mechanism by which onychophorans weave their nets (Onychophora: Peripatidae) [PDF]

open access: yesRev. Biol. Trop. (Int. J. Trop. Biol. ISSN-0034-7744) Vol. 58 (4): 1127-1142, December 2010, 2015
Onychophorans, or velvet worms, are poorly known and rare animals. Here we report the discovery of a new species that is also the largest onychophoran found so far, a 22cm long female from the Caribbean coastal forest of Costa Rica. Specimens were examined with Scanning Electron Microscopy; Peripatus solorzanoi sp.

Progress and Application of Multifunctional Hydrogel in Radioactive Skin Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This review examines healing challenges in radiation‐wound injuries, where ionizing radiation impairs immune and tissue repair processes. Hydrogels, with their biocompatibility, antimicrobial properties, and drug delivery capabilities, present a transformative solution. It compares hydrogel efficacy in radiation‐induced versus common wounds, highlights

Elliptic solitons and Heun's equation [PDF]

open access: yesCRM Proceedings and Lecture Notes, 2002, v.32, p.287-305., 2001
We find a new class of algebraic geometric solutions of Heun's equation with the accessory parameter belonging to a hyperelliptic curve. Dependence of these solutions from the accessory parameter as well as their relation to Heun's polynomials is studied.

Improvement of Electrochromic Stability of Viologen‐Based Ionic Gel by Layered Metal–Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Metal–organic framework doped viologen‐based ionogel electrochromic device demonstrates superior performance including homogeneous chromatic transition, enhanced coloration efficiency, and exceptional cycling stability. These advancements originate from dual mechanisms: 1) physical confinement effect effectively suppressing viologen molecular ...

Pomo3D: 3D-Aware Portrait Accessorizing and More [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We propose Pomo3D, a 3D portrait manipulation framework that allows free accessorizing by decomposing and recomposing portraits and accessories. It enables the avatars to attain out-of-distribution (OOD) appearances of simultaneously wearing multiple accessories.
