Physiologically based pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation of topiramate in populations with renal and hepatic impairment and considerations for drug–drug interactions

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 510-522, March 2025.
Abstract Topiramate (TPM) is a broad‐spectrum antiepileptic drug (AED) commonly prescribed for approved and off‐label uses. Routine monitoring is suggested for clinical usage of TPM in special population due to its broad side effect profile. Therefore, it is crucial to further explore its pharmacokinetic characteristics.

Localization of accessory renal artery infarction using Tc-99m DMSA scintigraphy

open access: yes, 2004
The presence of accessory renal arteries has been considered a relative contraindication in the setting of a live related renal transplant program. Failure to properly anastomose the arteries can cause segmental infarction leading to increased morbidity.

Multitarget Regulatory Mechanisms and Research Advances of Plant‐Derived Bioactive Ingredients in Hypertension Prevention and Management

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Schematic overview of the multi‐target and multi‐pathway mechanisms of PDBI in the prevention and management of hypertension. ABSTRACT Hypertension remains a major global risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, yet current treatments face challenges such as suboptimal blood pressure control and inadequate organ protection.

High-spatial-resolution 3D balanced turbo field-echo technique for MR angiography of the renal arteries: initial experience

open access: yes, 2004
PURPOSE: To compare a multislab balanced turbo field-echo magnetic resonance (MR) angiographic technique, without the use of a contrast agent, with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for imaging of the renal arteries.

Quantitative analysis of renal arterial variations affecting the eligibility of catheter-based renal denervation using multi-detector computed tomography angiography

open access: yes, 2020
Catheter-based renal denervation (RDN) was introduced to treat resistant hypertension. However, the reduction in blood pressure after the RDN was modest.

Renal Ectopy and Renal Artery Anomaly in a Young Patient

open access: yesTurkish Journal of Nephrology, 2019
We detected renal ectopy and renal artery anomaly in a young hypertensive patient followed in our clinics. We discussed not the importance of renal ectopy but that of the existence of multiple renal arteries in the etiology of hypertension.
