Integrated Ultrasound Device for Precision Bladder Volume Monitoring via Acoustic Focusing and Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a conformable wearable ultrasound patch for noninvasive bladder volume monitoring. A flexible PZT array combined with a concave acoustic lens concentrates acoustic energy and improves depth selectivity through the anterior pelvic wall.

Transparent Photothermal Slippery Surface Based on Monolayer Self‐Assembled MXene Film for Anti‐Fogging and De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ultrathin (2.5 nm) MXene film self‐assembled at liquid interfaces breaks the trade‐off between transparency (82.5 %) and photothermal conversion effect (DT∼25.1°C ± 2.9 °C) under 100 mW cm−2. After encapsulated by a slippery surface with low adhesion, this transparent film can be applied in smart windows, eyewear, and optical sensors to autonomous ...

Scalable Laser Processing Enables Transparent, Accretion Scale‐Independent, Ice‐Shedding Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a scalable laser‐based method to create wave‐like micro‐patterns on glass surfaces that counter the conventional view that roughness increases ice adhesion. These patterns direct crack propagation at the ice–glass interface, enabling low‐force, multi‐directional ice detachment while maintaining substrate transparency. A theoretical model

Driving a safer future: Exploring cross‐country perspectives in automated vehicle adoption by considering cyber risks, liability, and data concerns

open access: yesIET Intelligent Transport Systems
There is a significant lack of comprehensive research that systematically examines public perceptions of liability (related to cyber risks), consumer data, and how these factors influence the adoption of automated vehicles (AVs).
