Lead‐Free (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 Unmodified Piezoceramics: A Reduction in the Energetic Budget of Solid State Synthesis and Sintering

The temperature of the solid‐state synthesis of pure (K0.5Na0.5)NbO3 piezo‐composition is reduced by using the niobium pentoxide reactant in the mixture of reagents after attrition milling for only 3h: a majoritarian (57 wt.% of the total Nb2O5 content) orthorhombic polymorph Pbam.
