Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

Patient and system factors associated with unassisted and injurious falls in hospitals: an observational study

open access: yesBMC Geriatrics, 2019
Background Unassisted falls are more likely to result in injury than assisted falls. However, little is known about risk factors for falling unassisted. Furthermore, rural hospitals, which care for a high proportion of older adults, are underrepresented ...

Introducing Borsantrazole: A Trifunctional Boron‐Based Pyrazole That Extends the Lifespan of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein we report a boron‐based pyrazole, (Borsantrazole ‐ a small molecule that selectively targets oxidative stress) that significantly increases survival, reduces weight loss, delays disease onset, and affects global protein changes in the SOD1‐G37R mouse model of ALS.

3D-CT-Based Assessment of Total Cranial Fracture Length in Relation to Fall Height and Manner of Death in Fatal Free Falls

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Fatal free falls (FFF) represent a distinct form of blunt force trauma and pose a significant challenge in forensic investigations, particularly in estimating fall height and differentiating between accidental and suicidal events.

StackingNet: Collective Inference Across Independent AI Foundation Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Artificial intelligence (AI) built on large foundation models has transformed language understanding, computer vision, and reasoning, yet these systems remain isolated and cannot readily share their capabilities. Coordinating the complementary strengths of independently developed, black‐box foundation models is essential for trustworthy ...

Emergent Spinning and Orbital Motion in Clustered Wind‐Assisted Flyers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by natural snowflake geometries, paper‐cut flyers exhibit geometry‐defined spinning and orbital motions during cluster formation in a wind tunnel. Collective flights of multiple paperflakes reveal dynamic clustering, fragmentation, and continuously evolving spin behaviors.

ABCABC Stacking‐Enabled Non‐Centrosymmetry 3R‐ZnIn2S4 Nanosheets for Piezocatalytic Uranium Extraction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ABCABC stacking sequence in 2D ZnIn2S4 nanosheets creates intrinsic non‐centrosymmetry, enabling robust piezocatalysis under weak mechanical agitation. The nanosheets achieve a H2O2 yield of 276.7 µmol g−1 h−1 and uranium extraction capacity of 763.2 mg g−1 via a dual mechanism of direct piezoreduction and in situ H2O2 complexation.
