Accordion effect in plasma channels: Generation of tunable comb-like electron beams

open access: yes2014 IEEE 41st International Conference on Plasma Sciences (ICOPS) held with 2014 IEEE International Conference on High-Power Particle Beams (BEAMS), 2014
Propagating a short, relativistically intense laser pulse in a plasma channel makes it possible to generate comb-like electron beams for advanced radiation sources. The ponderomotive force of the leading edge of the pulse expels all electrons facing the pulse.

Use of the Ion Robot in the Diagnosis of Pulmonary Nodules: Fine Needle Aspiration Versus Cryobiopsy

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, Volume 54, Issue 8, Page 562-567, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Robotic‐assisted bronchoscopy platforms provide an innovative approach to the sampling of pulmonary nodules. As compared to other technologies, fiber‐optic shape‐sensing instrumentation allows for a more precise, accurate location and sampling of the target lesion with fewer complications.

MOF/MXene Composites for Advanced Electrochemical Energy Storage: Transitioning From Laboratory Research to Practical Application

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Composites of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs)/two‐dimensional transition metal carbides/nitrides (MXene) have been widely recognized as promising electrode materials for advanced electrochemical energy storage systems due to their synergistic structural advantages and tunable electrochemical properties.

MXene‐Boosted Nickel‐Based Metal‐Organic Framework Composite With Enhanced Conductivity and Catalytic Activity for Highly Sensitive Glucose Detection

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT The design and synthesis of highly efficient electrochemical sensors are pivotal to electrochemical conversion technologies. This study successfully synthesized a composite material comprising two‐dimensional (2D) conductive MXene and nickel‐based metal–organic framework (Ni‐MOF) by stirring at room temperature.

Advanced aqueous alteration in primitive meteorites: Micro‐ to nanoscale studies of CR1 iron sulfides

open access: yesMeteoritics &Planetary Science, Volume 61, Issue 8, Page 1806-1825, August 2026.
Abstract This study documents micro‐ to nanoscale observations of primary nebular and secondary parent body iron sulfides in the CR1 GRO 95577. Despite the extensive alteration of the bulk sample, some primary sulfides managed to avoid alteration, having originally formed in the solar nebula during chondrule formation by either fission‐sulfidization or

[Accordion effect--a rare pseudocomplication of coronary angioplasty. A case report].

open access: yesKardiologia polska, 2004
Accordion effect is a rare pseudocomplication of coronary angioplasty created by straightening of tortuous coronary artery with a guidewire. Its morphology is nearly identical with vessel dissection, spasm or thrombosis but no special treatment is needed.

Accordion effect phenomena

open access: yesAccordion effect phenomena
Causation is a key concept when we talk not only about events, but also about actions. Once a person has done something, his action results in further consequences up to nature. But even these consequences are often characterized as his actions, for example Kennedy's death which had causally resulted from the shooter's pulling the trigger also turned ...
