A Phase 2 Trial of Hydroxychloroquine in Individuals at Risk for Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective Individuals with serum elevations of anti–cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti‐CCP) antibodies are at increased risk for future rheumatoid arthritis (RA). No pharmacologic interventions have been approved for the prevention of RA in such at‐risk individuals.

Interleukin‐5, Eosinophils, and Interleukin‐5 Pathway Inhibitors in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis

Interlukin‐5 (IL‐5) plays a crucial role in the pathogenesis of eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) by promoting eosinophil differentiation, activation, and survival. We present here a typical case of EGPA in which treatment with IL‐5 pathway inhibitors is prescribed, showing to be beneficial for the patient.

Objective Transition from long‐term denosumab (Dmab) to parathyroid hormone‐analogs or romosozumab (Romo) might expose patients to the risk of the so‐called rebound phenomenon. Adding Romo to Dmab might represent an option in patients experiencing a fracture while on Dmab.

This paper analyses earnings quality in ex-post failed firms. Using a large sample of UK bankrupt firms, we find that failed firms manage earnings upwards in the four years prior to failure.
