Effect of fall-applied residual herbicide mixtures on rice growth and yield
The recommended method of control for glyphosate-resistant (GR) Italian ryegrass in Mississippi is to apply residual herbicides in the fall; however, these treatments may negatively affect rice performance.

Organo-Clay Formulation of Acetochlor for Reduced Movement in Soil
This study aimed to design ecologically acceptable formulations of acetochlor by adsorbing it on montmorillonite exchanged by a small organic cation, phenyltrimethylammonium (PTMA). Adsorption of acetochlor on the clay mineral exchanged with different organic cations and its release from these complexes were determined by GC and modeled by Langmuir ...

Reduced bioaccumulation of PQ and GLY by saffron extract in Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) tissues Abstract Herbicides such as paraquat (PQ) and glyphosate (GLY) pose ecological and public health risks because of their persistence, bioaccumulation, and toxicity to aquatic organisms. This study evaluated whether aqueous saffron extract (Crocus sativus L.)

A sensitive colloidal gold immunochromatographic assay for atrazine was successfully established using genetically engineered nanobody‐recombinant antibody, which overcame the shortcomings of traditional antigen‐antibody. ABSTRACT Colloidal gold immunochromatography (CG‐ICA) is distinguished by its cost‐effectiveness and rapid detection capabilities ...

ABSTRACT Since grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) is gaining recognition as a climate‐resilient alternative to maize in Central Europe, optimizing the cultivation technology of commercial hybrids has become a key area of research. A 2‐year study (2023–2024) was conducted in Keszthely, Hungary to assess the plant‐ and plot‐level responses of four

Abstract Barnyardgrass [Echinochloa crus‐galli (L.) P. Beauv.] is the most problematic weed of delayed‐flooded rice (Oryza sativa L.) systems in the mid‐southern United States. Recent findings suggest that acetochlor can achieve effective barnyardgrass control in rice, but rice injury can occur with rainfall soon after application.
