Bioorthogonal Engineering of Cellular Microenvironments Using Isonitrile Ligations
Highly selective chemistries are required for fabrication and post‐cross–linking modification of cell‐encapsulating hydrogels used in tissue engineering applications. Isonitrile ligation reactions represent a promising class of bioorthogonal chemistries for engineering hydrogel‐based cellular microenvironments. Isonitrile‐based hydrogels are stable and

High temperature polymer from maleimide-acetylene terminated monomers [PDF]
Thermally stable, glassy polymeric materials were prepared from maleimide-acetylene terminated monomeric materials by several methods. The monomers were heated to self-polymerize.

Strictly Non-Adiabatic Quantum Control of the Acetylene Dication Using an Infrared Field [PDF]
We demonstrate the existence of a strictly non-adiabatic control pathway in deprotonation of the acetylene dication. This pathway is identified experimentally by measuring a kinetic energy shift in an ion coincidence experiment. We use a TDSE simulation to identify which properties most strongly affect our control.

A simulation technique for assessing both the fabrication and operation of a solid‐state Si battery is demonstrated by integrating particle dynamics with mass/charge transport. Although, the fabrication pressure (Pfab) increased the inter‐particle contacts and reduced the concentration (ηconc) and Li‐ion (ηLi+) overpotentials during discharging, it ...

Acetylene terminated matrix resins [PDF]
The synthesis of resins with terminal acetylene groups has provided a promising technology to yield high performance structural materials. Because these resins cure through an addition reaction, no volatile by-products are produced during the processing.

Constructing an 'industry': the case of industrial gases, 1886–2006 [PDF]
Historically minded social scientists who analyse business and industrial development over time – including business historians – often deploy the term ‘industry’ as if its meaning were both self-evident and unchanging through time. This article uses the

The Effect of Cluster Size on the Intra-Cluster Ionic Polymerization Process
Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are widespread in the interstellar medium (ISM). The abundance and relevance of PAHs call for a clear understanding of their formation mechanisms, which, to date, have not been completely deciphered.

Sono‐Piezo‐Photosynthesis of Ethylene and Acetylene from Bioethanol under Ambient Conditions
A novel sono‐piezo‐photocatalytic strategy enables the conversion of bioethanol to ethylene (C2H4) and acetylene (C2H2) under ambient conditions, addressing the limitations of conventional methods that are high‐temperature and energy‐intensive. By using an advanced graphene oxide/sodium bismuth titanate heterostructure catalyst, this work achieved ...
