Simulation of chemical accidents with acetylene in 'Messer Tehnogas' Kraljevo plant by 'ALOHA' software program [PDF]

open access: yesThe University Thought: Publication in Natural Sciences, 2018
Chemical plants are generally associated with potentially high risk of chemical accidents. During chemical accidents hazardous substances jeopardize human lives, destroy material assests and degrade natural environment.

Free Radical Isomerizations in Acetylene Bromoboration Reaction

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
The experimentally motivated question of the acetylene bromoboration mechanism was addressed in order to suggest possible radical isomerization pathways for the syn-adduct.

Strategies to Design and Optimize Artificial Antigen‐Presenting Cells for T Cell Expansion in Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review highlights recent advances in engineering artificial antigen‐presenting cells (aAPCs) as alternatives to dendritic cells for T cell expansion. Key design principles inspired by the immunological synapse are discussed, with emphasis on strategies for polyclonal and antigen‐specific T cell expansion.

Study on physio-chemical properties of plasma polymerization in C2H2/N2 plasma and their impact on COL X [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Nitrogen-containing plasma polymerization is of considerable interest for tissue engineering due to their properties on cell adhesion and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) response.

Terminal and Internal Alkyne Complexes and Azide-Alkyne Cycloaddition Chemistry of Copper(I) Supported by a Fluorinated Bis(pyrazolyl)borate

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Copper plays an important role in alkyne coordination chemistry and transformations. This report describes the isolation and full characterization of a thermally stable, copper(I) acetylene complex using a highly fluorinated bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligand ...

Parameters of Warm Molecular Clouds from Methyl Acetylene Observations [PDF]

open access: yesAstron.Rep. 46 (2002) 551-566, 2002
The results of a survey of 63 galactic star-forming regions in the 6_K-5_K and 5_K-4_K methyl acetylene lines at 102 and 85 GHz, respectively, are presented. Fourty-three sources were detected at 102 GHz, and twenty-five at 85 GHz. Emission was detected towards molecular clouds with kinetic temperatures 20-60 K (so-called ``warm clouds'').

Dynamic Networks via Polymerizable Deep Eutectic Monomers for Uniform Li+ Transport at Interfaces in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The PDEM‐based SIGPE provides a dynamic nanophase from Li+‐bridged molecular self‐association, enhancing electrochemical stability and facilitating uniform Li+ ion flux at the interface. This unique solvation structure results in a hetero species‐driven inorganic‐rich SEI and long‐term cycle stability, suggesting that a PFAS‐free Li+‐containing monomer

Synthesis of Highly Crystalline Graphite from Spontaneous Ignition of In Situ Derived Acetylene and Chlorine at Ambient Conditions

open access: yesMolecules, 2020
We exploited a classic chemistry demonstration experiment based on the reaction of acetylene with chlorine to obtain highly crystalline graphite at ambient conditions. Acetylene and chlorine were generated in-situ by the addition of calcium carbide (CaC2)

Encapsulation and polymerization of acetylene molecules inside a carbon nanotube [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Physics Letters v. 415, p.279 (2005), 2005
We study the energetics of acetylene (${\rm C_2H_2}$) molecules inside a carbon nanotube (CNT) using the {\it ab initio} pseudopotential method. The encapsulation energy of a single ${\rm C_2H_2}$ molecule into the nanotube and the formation energy of ${\rm (C_2H_2)}_n$@CNT are calculated. We investigate whether a polyacetylene chain can be produced by

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...
