Three Aramaic seals of the Achaemenid period
Journal of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain & Ireland, 1986This seal, of unknown provenance, has an Aramaic inscription which is engraved on a scaraboid hematite pierced lengthwise. It measures 17×13 mm, with 9 mm of thickness. The oval surface, which is slightly damaged at one point, is divided by a double line into two registers.

The ‘Kings’ of Lycia in the Achaemenid Period
2002Abstract This chapter examines the political structures in Lycia. It shows that the dynamic in Lycia in many ways parallel to that of the ‘non-polis’ communities in Greece. Lycia seems to have been confronting many of the same questions of the relationship between the city and larger regional political bodies.

A. Burney during his survey in 1955 and now housed in the British Institute of Archaeology at Ankara.
