Behavioral and Neural Biology, 1980The spatial distribution of juvenile terrestrial snails was studied in clean, symmetrical plastic boxes. Environmental stimuli capable of biasing particular locations in the boxes were reduced to a minimum. Under these conditions, it was found that snails cluster significantly above chance levels.

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part A: Physiology, 1971Abstract Gel filtration of the hemolymph of the snail, Achatina fulica , in a column of Sephadex G-200 equilibrated with 0·025 M Tris-HCl at the same pH value, 8·5, as the hemolymph reveals the presence of at least two forms, A and B, of hemocyanin of different molecular weights which exist in a ratio of 3 : 2 and are not inter-convertible.

A new cold agglutinin from Achatina fulica snails
Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1984An electrophoretically homogeneous agglutinin was purified from the albumin gland of Achatina fulica snails using asialofetunin-Sepharose 4B as an affinity column. The agglutinin was found to be temperature sensitive; it agglutinated rabbit and human umbilical cord erythrocytes only at low temperature.
