Power and Resource Allocation for Orthogonal Multiple Access Relay Systems

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2008
We study the problem of joint power and channel resource allocation for orthogonal multiple access relay (MAR) systems in order to maximize the achievable rate region. Four relaying strategies are considered; namely, regenerative decode-and-forward (RDF),

Ergodic Rate for Fading Interference Channels with Proper and Improper Gaussian Signaling

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
This paper studies the performance of improper Gaussian signaling (IGS) over a 2-user Rayleigh single-input single-output (SISO) interference channel, treating interference as noise.

Compress-and-Forward for Relay Broadcast Channels without Common Messages

open access: yesCybernetics and Information Technologies, 2015
This paper is connected with compress-and-forward strategy for two-user relay broadcast channels without common messages, where the relay node has private messages from the source, in addition to aiding traditional communication from the source to the ...

Polar Coding for the Multiple Access Channel With Confidential Messages

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
The multiple access channel with confidential messages (MAC-CM) generalizes the traditional multiple access channel by allowing both users to receive channel outputs.

Achieving Global Optimality for Weighted Sum-Rate Maximization in the K-User Gaussian Interference Channel with Multiple Antennas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Characterizing the global maximum of weighted sum-rate (WSR) for the K-user Gaussian interference channel (GIC), with the interference treated as Gaussian noise, is a key problem in wireless communication.

An achievable rate region for the two-way multiple relay channel [PDF]

open access: yes2016 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2016
We propose an achievable rate-region for the two-way multiple-relay channel using decode-and-forward block Markovian coding. We identify a conflict between the information flow in both directions. This conflict leads to an intractable number of decode-forward schemes and achievable rate regions, none of which are universally better than the others.

A Hybrid Cooperative Coding Scheme for the Relay-Eavesdropper Channel

open access: yesEntropy, 2014
This paper considers the four-node relay-eavesdropper channel, where a relay node helps the source to send secret messages to the destination in the presence of a passive eavesdropper.

On the Capacity Region of Multi-Antenna Gaussian Broadcast Channels with Estimation Error [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we consider the effect of channel estimation error on the capacity region of MIMO Gaussian broadcast channels. It is assumed that the receivers and the transmitter have (the same) estimates of the channel coefficients (i.e., the feedback ...

On achievable rate regions for half-duplex causal cognitive radio channels [PDF]

open access: yes2010 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2010
Coding for the causal cognitive radio channel, with the cognitive source subjected to a half-duplex constraint, is studied. A discrete memoryless channel model incorporating the half-duplex constraint is presented, and a new achievable rate region is derived for this channel.

Non-Orthogonal Unicast and Multicast Transmission for Massive MIMO With Statistical Channel State Information

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
We investigate non-orthogonal unicast and multicast (NOUM) transmission for massive multiple-input multiple-output systems, where only statistical channel state information of all user terminals is available at the base station.
