At multiplicities of infection less than 10, virus infected cells continue to grow during virus production, but the cell doubling time is 160 min, rather than the normal 110 min.

Diagnostic Microbiology and Infectious Disease, 1985L-forms from a Corynebacterium were induced in hyperosmolar media and gradually adapted to normal osmolarity over a period of two years.
