Investigation on the H2S-resistant behaviors of acicular ferrite and ultrafine ferrite
Materials Letters, 2002Hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) and sulfide stress cracking (SSC) of both acicular ferrite and ultrafine ferrite in H2S environments were evaluated. The results show that the two microstructures have the optimum HIC resistance as well as the good mechanical properties. Moreover, acicular ferrite has the better SSC resistance than ultrafine ferrite. (C)

Microstructure and Properties of Pipeline Steel with Acicular Ferrite
Materials Science Forum, 2007The X70 grade and X80 grade pipeline steel strip with acicular ferrite microstructure have been researched and developed. The properties of the steel with acicular ferrite were studied by using tensile test, Charpy impact test, CTOD test and DWTT test, and compared to that of the steel with ferrite and pearlite.
