Research progress on acid mine drainage treatment based on CiteSpace analysis [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Environmental Protection
Acid mine drainage has always been of global concern, primarily due to its low pH, high concentration of heavy metals and toxic substances, and serious impact on the surrounding environment and ecology of mines.

Self‐Powered Permeable Electronic Dressing for Exudate Management, Electrostimulation and Drug Delivery in Chronic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops a self‐powered permeable electronic dressing (SPED) that synergistically integrates exudate management, electrical stimulation, and on‐demand drug delivery. The dressing effectively absorbs exudate while demonstrating potent antibacterial activity and accelerated tissue regeneration in diabetic mouse models, thereby promoting ...

Tissue Engineered Human Elastic Cartilage From Primary Auricular Chondrocytes for Ear Reconstruction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Despite over three decades of research, no tissue‐engineered solution for auricular reconstruction in microtia patients has reached clinical translation. The key challenge lies in generating functional elastic cartilage ex vivo. Here, we integrate synergistic cell‐biomaterial strategies to engineer auricular grafts with mechanical and histological ...

Study of Iron, Copper and Zinc Removal from Acidic Solutions by Sorption

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2012
The attenuation of mining activity in the Slovak Republic which started in 1989 led to the extensive closing of deposits using wet conservation, i.e. flooding. Negative effects of acid mine drainage can be observed mainly in the localities where sulphide

Adsorption of heavy metals from acid mine drainage using poly (hydroxamic acid) ligand

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2022
Acid mine drainage (AMD) causes severe environmental concerns worldwide due to its high acidity, toxic metals and sulphate contents. Conventional treatment methods may not be effective for AMD.

Effects of Molecular Designs and Double‐Network Morphologies for Bioadhesive Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study establishes molecular‐to‐mesoscale design rules for bioadhesive semiconducting polymers (BASCs). It identifies how side‐chain length, double‐network formation, and film thickness modulate adhesion strength and electronic performance, providing insight into the rational design of intrinsically adhesive semiconductors for stable and efficient ...

Triblock Polymer Engineering Enables Hydration‐Rich, High‐Performance, Fouling‐Resistant Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecularly engineered triblock polymer (PHZ) rapidly reorganizes into a hydration‐rich interfacial layer on diverse surfaces, strongly suppressing hydrophobic attraction and fouling. The triblock polymer provides robust energy and steric barriers to oily foulants, enabling high‐performance antifouling at ultralow dosage.
