HYDROGEN ADSORPTION ON SILVER CATHODES IN PERCHLORIC ACID SOLUTIONS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1990
In this paper studies of overvoltage and capacitance measurements at silver cathodes in aqueous perchloric acid at room temperature are described. Capacitances were deduced from open-circuit potential decay measurements.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Complexation of Rh(III) in sulfuric acid solutions

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2007
The complexation in the system Rh(III) – H2SO4 – H2O at the room temperature in the dilute sulfuric acid has been studied by 103Rh and 17O NMR. The most stable species in solutions are [

Recyclable tannic acid modified magnetic nanoparticles for ciprofloxacin adsorption

open access: yesScientific Reports
The rapid expansion of human and industrial activities has intensified antibiotic consumption, such as Ciprofloxacin (CIP), leading to the release of resistant compounds into aquatic systems and posing significant human health and environmental risks. In

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Acid Resistance of Metakaolin-Based Geopolymers and Geopolymeric Mortars Reinforced with Coconut Fibers

open access: yesFibers
This paper investigates the durability of geopolymers and geopolymeric mortars made with metakaolin and alkaline activators, with and without a coconut fiber addition, after immersion for seven days into solutions of citric acid (1%, 2.5%, 5%, and 10 ...

Adsorption of tartaric acid and malic by active carbons

open access: yesOENO One, 1995
Adsorption of tartaric acid and malic acid by active carbons bas been tested with six samples of carbons. At acid pH ; the adsorbed amounts of tartaric acid and of malic acid are practically the same.

Amino Acid Analytical Solution

open access: yes, 2023
Amino acids are a general class of organic compounds containing a basic amino group and an acidic carboxyl group. lt is the basic constituent unit for biological macromolecules, including proteins. Amino acids play an important role in plant health, promoting plant root growth, strengthening seedlings, enhancing leaf photosynthesis, inducing crop ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
