The Effect of Organic Compounds on the Electrochemical Behaviour of Steel in Acidic Media. A review.

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2008
This work attempts to detail selected relevant studies on the behaviour of steel in acidic media. Factors affect the inhibition efficiency of the organic compounds in acidic media were discussed; the effect of he structure, the effect of zero-charge ...

Effect of Acidic Media on Folic Acid Solubilization Patterns

open access: yesТехника и технология пищевых производств
Availability of micronutrients remains a major global concern. Fortified foods are inherently rich in vitamins and minerals; for instance, folic acid, or vitamin B9, is essential for preventing such health issues as neural tube defects in newborns ...

Corrosion Inhibition of Mild Steel with Tolyltriazole [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials Research, 2021
Tolyltriazole (TTA) is a well-defined corrosion inhibitor for copper and copper alloys. However, there is little literature about its corrosion inhibition performance for mild steels in corrosive environments.

Highly Accessible Atomically Dispersed Fe‐Nx Sites Electrocatalyst for Proton‐Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell

open access: yesAdvanced Science, 2021
Atomically dispersed transition metal‐Nx sites have emerged as a frontier for electrocatalysis because of the maximized atom utilization. However, there is still the problem that the reactant is difficult to reach active sites inside the catalytic layer ...

Reduction of hypervalent chromium in acidic media by alginic acid [PDF]

open access: yesCarbohydrate Polymers, 2014
Selective oxidation of carboxylate groups present in alginic acid by Cr(VI) affords CO2, oxidized alginic acid, and Cr(III) as final products. The redox reaction afforded first-order kinetics in [alginic acid], [Cr(VI)], and [H(+)], at fixed ionic strength and temperature.

Ethanol electrooxidation on the Co@Pt core-shell nanoparticles modified carbon-ceramic electrode in acidic and alkaline media [PDF]

open access: yesHydrogen, Fuel Cell & Energy Storage, 2016
In this study, the electrocatalytic activity of the Co@Pt core-shell nanoparticles toward the ethanol oxidation reaction has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry in acidic and alkaline media in details.

Heterogeneous Reactions of Epoxides in Acidic Media [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2012
Epoxides have recently been identified as important intermediates in the gas phase oxidation of hydrocarbons, and their hydrolysis products have been observed in ambient aerosols. To evaluate the role of epoxides in the formation of secondary organic aerosols (SOA), the kinetics and mechanism of heterogeneous reactions of two model epoxides, isoprene ...

Sphalerite Leaching in Acid Media: a Review

open access: yesMetallurgical and Materials Data, 2023
The reserves of rich ores, from which the production of zinc by the existing conventional roasting-leaching-electrowinning process is technologically possible and economically justified, are decreasing year by year. For this reason, increasing attention has been directed towards researching the possibility of obtaining zinc from complex polymetallic ...
