Acidity function in dipolar aprotic media
Proceedings of the Indian Academy of Sciences - Section A, 1972The H0 acidity function has been determined for hydrochloric and trichloroacetic acids in dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) and acetonitrile using three amine class of indicators. The variation of H0 with solvent composition at a fixed concentration of 0.1 M HCI in DMSO-water, acetonitrile-water and DMSO acetonitrile mixtures was also studied.

Amino Acids Profiles in Biological Media
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2010An accurate analytical method was developed to determine amino acids in some biological specimens by GC/MS technique. Stable isotopes provide useful tools for a variety of studies, offering ideal internal standards in quantitative information. Isotopic dilution gas chromatography--mass spectrometry (ID-GC/MS) is the techniques used for quantitative ...

The acidity of superacidic media derived from fluorosulfuric acid and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid
Analytica Chimica Acta, 1984Abstract The acidity level of superacidic media derived from fluorosulfuric acid and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TFMS) was determined by using the potentiometric indicators tetrachloroquinone and tetrafluoroquinone. A voltammetric and potentiometric study of these indicators was conducted to evaluate their pH indicator range, from the strongest ...

Culture Media for Lactic Acid Bacteria
2011This review deals with culture media for the detection, selective isolation and cultivation of different groups of lactic acid bacteria (LAB). Numerous elective and semi-selective media are available and currently used for LAB. Most of them have been developed to isolate certain groups of LAB from a specific habitat, such as meat or dairy products ...
