Sensitivity of the phenoxy derivatives of 2,4-dihydro-5H-[1,2,3]triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-5-ones to acidic and basic stimuli [PDF]
Herein we report the research on the sensitivity of six hydroxy derivatives of dihydrotriazolopyrimidines (HO-DTP) to acids and bases. The UV/Vis and fluorescence spectra of these compounds were investigated with the addition of the acids and bases ...

Acidochromic Behavior of Dibenzylidene Cyclohexanone-Based Bischalcone: Experimental and Theoretical Study. [PDF]
Synthesis and characterization of substituted 2,6-dibenzylidene cyclohexanone-based bischalcone derivatives and their optimized geometries were investigated by density functional theory. The synthesized compounds were identified through ultraviolet-visible, Fourier transform infrared, and 1H nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopies and elemental ...

Photomechanical effects of acidochromic diarylethene derivatives [PDF]
Naphthalenylvinylbenzoxazol BO1N4F and naphthalenylvinylbenzothiazole BT1N4F have been synthesized, and led to topo-photochemical reactions. Compared with BT1N4F , the dimerization efficiency of BO1N4F is so high that more stress is yielded in the crystals during [2+2] cycloaddition reaction.

Flexible Fibrous Visible Light Sensors Based on Spiropyran for Wearable Devices, Electronic Skins, and Thermal Management Fabrics. [PDF]
Flexible fibrous visible light sensors with a core‐sheath structure are prepared using a spiropyran (SP)/FeCl3·6H2O methyl cyanide aqueous solution and silicon rubber hollow fibers as the core and outer layers. These sensors are woven into fabrics with multiple functions, such as sensing and locating visible light, reversible photochromism, and thermal

Perylene-Based Covalent Organic Frameworks for Acid Vapor Sensing. [PDF]
Traditionally, the properties and functions of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are defined by their constituting building blocks, while the chemical bonds that connect the individual subunits have not attracted much attention as functional components ...

Oxidative electropolymerization of bis‐carbazole containing azo monomers is a facile approach for preparing light‐responsive azo‐based surface coatings. The formed stable films retain the photochemical properties and pH sensitivity of the azo molecular switches and demonstrate electrocatalytic control over Z→E azo bond isomerization.

Novel photoresponsive spiropyran (SP)‐based P(DEGMA‐co‐SpMA) copolymers with variable SP composition are synthesized and are found to exhibit reversible photoisomerism, photoswitchable glass transition temperature (Tg), high thermal stability, instant photochromism, and fluorescence on UV exposure. The elevation in Tg on irradiation of UV is attributed
