L‐EasyARG: A long‐read metagenomics tool for rapid antibiotic‐resistance‐gene profiling
L‐EasyARG is a pipeline for long‐read metagenomic profiling of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) and their genetic context. It integrates ARG identification, plasmid and mobile genetic element (MGE) detection, taxonomic classification, and further identifies ARGs carried by human bacterial pathogens (HBPs) defined in the WHO and ESKAPE pathogen lists.

Gut microbiota–host endocrine interactions in wild mammals remain poorly understood. Giant pandas experience seasonal dietary shifts and constrained annual reproduction, offering an ideal model to investigate microbiome–endocrine coupling. We integrated fecal hormone profiling, microsatellite‐based individual identification, and gut microbiome ...

Host‐specific and deterministic microbiome assembly in major coleopteran stored‐grain pests
Dual DNA‐ and RNA‐based sequencing profiled the microbiomes of five major coleopteran stored‐grain pests and their wheat flour substrate. The microbiomes differed significantly among hosts and from flour, yet 11 core bacterial and 9 core fungal taxa were shared across hosts. RNA data revealed host‐specific active microbiota.

Quantitative Proteomics to study Carbapenem Resistance in Acinetobacter baumannii
Acinetobacter baumannii is an opportunistic pathogen causing pneumonia, respiratory infections and urinary tract infections. The prevalence of this lethal pathogen increases gradually in the clinical setup where it can grow on artificial surfaces ...

New Treatment Options against Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii Infections
Carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) is a perilous nosocomial pathogen causing substantial morbidity and mortality. Current treatment options for CRAB are limited and suffer from pharmacokinetic limitations, such as high toxicity and low ...

This review explores how Fusobacterium nucleatum extracellular vesicles drive local oral diseases and distal pathologies via sophisticated cross‐compartment cross talk. It highlights the transformative potential of these “tiny carriers” as next‐generation molecular intermediaries for advanced health monitoring and innovative bio‐interventions by ...

This study developed a pair of duplex RPA‐LFA assays for the simultaneous detection of critical resistance genes, blaCTX‐M/mcr‐1 and blaoxa‐48‐like/blaNDM, from hemoculture samples. Under optimized conditions, duplex RPA was performed at 37°C–38°C for 25 min, followed by LFA for 10–15 min.
