ACL INJURY AND RETURN TO SPORT
We followed 110 patients who had sustained an acute traumatic Haemarthrosis for a mean of 60 months. The arthrometer measurements within 90 days of injury revealed the injured knee was stable in 35 patients and unstable in 75. Thirty-five unstable patients had an ACL reconstruction within 90 days of injury.

ABSTRACT Extensor mechanism autografts used for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, namely bone‐patellar tendon‐bone (BPTB) and quadriceps tendon (QT), may result in harvest‐site tendon elongation. Extended field of view (EFOV) ultrasound imaging has the potential to evaluate changes in tendon length, but the reliability and validity of these ...

ABSTRACT Remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM) is required for the proper healing, strengthening, and maintenance of tendon tissue. There are well‐documented sex differences in tendon injury rates and healing outcomes, often attributed to either innate differences in tissue structure and resident cell signaling or the influence of sex hormones ...
