Biologically enhanced ACL reconstruction [PDF]
Biological integration of the tendon graft is a crucial prerequisite for successful ACL reconstruction. Histological studies showed that the human ACL remnants contain a cellular capacity for healing potential. The goal of this technical note is to describe an ACL reconstruction technique, using ACL remnants as a biological sleeve for the graft.

Individualized ACL reconstruction
Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, 2014AbstractThe pivot shift test is the only physical examination test capable of predicting knee function and osteoarthritis development after an ACL injury. However, because interpretation and performance of the pivot shift are subjective in nature, the validity of the pivot shift is criticized for not providing objective information for a complete ...

ABSTRACT The endoscopic technique offers the advantage of one incision and a femoral osseous tunnel trajectory that is more in line with the collagen fibers of the graft. Technically, it is more demanding to reproducibly obtain the interference fixation than using the two-incision technique.

Anatomic Revision ACL Reconstruction
Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy Review, 2010Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries are common in the athletic population. In fact, ACL reconstruction has become one of the most common orthopedic procedures with over 100,000 being performed annually. As the number of primary ACL reconstructions continues to increase, so will the need for revision surgery. The causes of failure are numerous and

Computer aided ACL reconstruction
Injury, 2004The following article gives a clinical description of computer aided ACL reconstruction using the Praxim Medivision tool. The special feature of this navigation is the existence of the possibility to virtually graft the implantation without first having to attach anchoring channels, which allows potential risks to be recognized and thus avoided.

ACL reconstruction with hamstring tendon
Orthopedic Clinics of North America, 2003The technique of quadrupled semitendinosus autograft for ACL reconstruction using the EndoButton for femoral fixation has been described. Dr. Rosenberg, this article's senior author, has used this for over 10 years with no known instance of fixation failure at the femur or tibia.
