The bound state corrections to the semileptonic decays of the B meson. The light-front approach versus ACM model

open access: yes, 2001
A generalization of the parton-like formula is used for the first time to find the differential distributions in the inclusive semileptonic weak decays of the B meson.

One‐Dimensional RuIrTe Nanotubes with Amorphous Surface as a Highly Active and Stable Electrocatalyst Toward Oxygen Evolution Reaction in Acidic Media

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rational etching‐induced reconstruction strategy is demonstrated to fabricate one‐dimensional RuIrTe ternary nanotubes with a unique amorphous‐crystalline heterostructure. This hierarchical architecture synergistically optimizes mass transport and electronic configurations, delivering record‐breaking performance in proton exchange membrane water ...

Epitaxial growth of FeSe$_{0.5}$Te$_{0.5}$ thin films on CaF$_2$ substrates with high critical current density

open access: yes, 2011
In-situ epitaxial growth of FeSe$_{0.5}$Te$_{0.5}$ thin films is demonstrated on a non-oxide substrate CaF$_2$. Structural analysis reveals that compressive stress is moderately added to 36-nm thick FeSe$_{0.5}$Te$_{0.5}$, which pushes up the critical ...

Efficacy and Safety of Subcutaneous Efgartigimod PH20 in Adults With Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ADVANCE SC): A Multicenter, Randomized, Double‐Blinded, Placebo‐Controlled, Phase 3 Trial

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary autoimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is characterized by thrombocytopenia, bleeding, and reduced health‐related quality of life. In the Phase 3 ADVANCE IV study, intravenous efgartigimod induced significant platelet count responses versus placebo in patients with chronic ITP. ADVANCE SC, a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double‐blinded,

Web Science is Growing Up: interdisciplinary insights and a maturing community at WebSci ’11

open access: yes, 2011
ACM Web Science 2011, which ran from 14 – 17 June in Koblenz, Germany, is one of the more interdisciplinary ACM conferences: unlike ACM WWW, which focuses on infrastructure, standards and development, Web Science concerns the Web as an unfolding process.

Genomic Contributors to Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia: Results of Exome Sequencing in 560 Probands and Cross Reference of Findings in an Independent Cohort

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT There is a strong genetic contribution to the etiology of congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). This study evaluated genetic testing results and diagnostic yield for fetuses and children with CDH. This was a retrospective cohort study of exome sequencing (ES) performed at GeneDx for fetuses and children ≤ 18 years of age with CDH compared ...

Targeted Anti‐IL‐1 Immunomodulatory Therapy in Pediatric Onset PPP1R13L‐Related Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Autosomal recessive loss‐of‐function variants in PPP1R13L cause an ultra‐rare cardiocutaneous syndrome characterized by rapidly progressive arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM). PPP1R13L encodes iASPP, which has two potentially overlapping mechanisms driving ACM as both a regulator of NFκB‐mediated inflammation and a binding partner within the ...

Analyzing the Use of Camera Glasses in the Wild

open access: yes, 2019
Camera glasses enable people to capture point-of-view videos using a common accessory, hands-free. In this paper, we investigate how, when, and why people used one such product: Spectacles.

Melatonin Levels in 89 Individuals With Smith Magenis Syndrome

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In patients with Smith–Magenis syndrome (SMS), an inverted circadian rhythm of melatonin (MT) contributes to the sleep disturbance. Standard treatment of sleep disturbance with MT often leads to extremely high daytime MT levels, resulting in even more sleep disorders. We therefore retrospectively evaluated the MT data of 89 SMS patients.

Total Haskell is Reasonable Coq

open access: yes, 2017
We would like to use the Coq proof assistant to mechanically verify properties of Haskell programs. To that end, we present a tool, named hs-to-coq, that translates total Haskell programs into Coq programs via a shallow embedding.
