Reconstruction of the Acne‐Scarred Face

The acne‐scarred face presents a challenge to the reconstructive surgeon. Dermaplaning technic with the Castroviejo Electrokeratome (“C‐V Planer”) results in precise leveling of the skin. Numerous deep pit scars are amenable to small excisions; extensive mid‐cheek scarring is treatable by segmental excision and reconstruction.
