Research of Intelligent Acoustic Emission Instrument
In view of problems that current acoustic emission instruments have only collection function of acoustic emission data, but no function of data processing and analysis, the paper proposed a design scheme of an intelligent acoustic emission instrument ...

Acoustic emission study of fatigue crack propagation in Q345R
The acoustic emission signals of fatigue crack propagation in Q345R,which is the typical representative of common steel for pressure vessels, were investigated in detail to construct a relationship between fatigue and acoustic emission.

High Thermoelectric Performance in Low‐Cost Cu8SiSxSe6‐x Argyrodite
This study discovers the great potential of Cu8SiSxSe6‐x argyrodites as new, low‐cost, Te‐free thermoelectric materials. The proposed defect scheme suppresses the phase transition, enhances the weighted mobility and optimizes the grain boundary contacts.

Sound and light from fractures in scintillators
Prompted by intriguing events observed in certain particle-physics searches for rare events, we study light and acoustic emission simultaneously in some inorganic scintillators subject to mechanical stress.

Acoustic emission and released seismic energy [PDF]
Abstract. Intense crises of crustal stress appear to cross large regions, and to precede by several months the eventual occurrence of some strong earthquake within them. The phenomenon is not linear, and the stress control reflects some wide scale-size rather than local effects.

A magnetic microrobot fabricated by Spirulina platensis is proposed to accumulate in tumor regions and generate in situ high calcium concentration and sufficient oxygen. These characteristics of the microrobot present a strategy for triggering calcium overload therapy and chlorophyll‐mediated photodynamic therapy, and such combination resulted in a ...

Avalanches and force drops in displacement-driven compression of porous glasses [PDF]
Similarities between force-driven compression experiments of porous materials and earthquakes have been recently proposed. In this manuscript, we measure the acoustic emission during displacement-driven compression of a porous glass. The energy of acoustic-emission events shows that the failure process exhibits avalanche scale-invariance and therefore ...
