Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Design and Analysis of Compression–Torsion Coupling Metamaterials Using the Golden Section Method

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel compression–torsion metamaterial is engineered using inclined rods and symmetry breaking. To optimize its torsional performance, the golden section method is employed. The mechanical response of the metamaterial is validated through both numerical analysis and experimental validation.

Acoustoelectric conversion and deep-subwavelength acoustic focusing based on Fresnel zone plates

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2023
Fresnel zone plates (FZP) with quasi-planar structure and ultrathin thickness are capable of focusing light or acoustic waves efficiently. In this paper, we employ the FZP to manipulate the wave fields and suggest two acoustic functionalities.

Planer-structure focusing lens for acoustic microscope.

open access: yesJournal of the Acoustical Society of Japan (E), 1985
A planar-structure acoustic focusing lens proposed by the authors is applied successfully to the scanning acoustic microscope as a substitute for the conventional concave lens. The lens is composed of a number of concentric annular grooves of uniform depth formed on the radiation plane according to the theory of a Fresnel zone plate.

Integration of OpenCV‐Based Microscopic Adhesive Volume Measurement Into a Pyiron Workflow for Automated Data Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Residual adhesive after electrode loading in adhesive‐assisted resistance spot welding is quantified through a traceable experimental‐to‐digital workflow. Chromatic confocal topography provides calibrated surface‐height data, while OpenCV detects the electrode imprint and integrates adhesive height into comparable volume metrics.
