Bent‐Core Liquid Crystal‐Based Heterojunctions as Gas Sensors
Bilayer heterojunction devices are developed using liquid crystals and a molecular semiconductor. By employing banana‐shaped liquid crystals as a sublayer with lutetium bisphthalocyanine (LuPc2) on top, sensors sensitive to ammonia are achieved, detecting levels below 10 ppm, and as low as 2 ppm for specific devices.
