In this review, the fundamentals, main challenges, and reactor configurations spanning temporal atomic layer deposition (ALD) to spatial ALD have been systematically reviewed. Furthermore, applications of surface modification using particle ALD in the fields of energy, catalysis, luminescence, and human health are introduced. This review aims to assist

Utilizing a novel (Ni81Fe19/Ti)4/Cu/(Ni81Fe19/Ti)4 thin‐film multilayer with low coercive field, low damping and a superior GMI ratio, a compact, low‐noise unbiased FMR‐driven integrated GMI sensor with a superior magnetic noise performance of ≈100 pT/√Hz is first demonstrated, owing to reduced phase noise from well‐defined aligned magnetic domains and

How to Manufacture Photonic Metamaterials
Metamaterials boast applications such as invisibility and “hyperlenses” with resolution beyond the diffraction limit, but these applications haven’t been exploited in earnest and the market for them hasn’t grown much likely because facile and economical methods for fabricating them without defect has not emerged.

Compliant Die Attach Process for High‐Conformity Integration of Ultra‐Thin Chips on Curved Surfaces
A compliant die attach process is developed for bonding ultra‐thin silicon dies onto high‐curvature surfaces. Using FEM‐guided tool design and process optimization, the method achieves excellent surface conformity and minimal voids. This approach offers a reliable solution for next‐generation curved electronics, including LiDAR and wide field‐of‐view ...

Co‐Solvent‐Aided Opto‐Thermophoretic Printing of Gold Nanorod Assemblies
A focused laser beam creates a thermal gradient, driving the gold nanorods and polymer coils toward the heated region of the glass substrate, i.e, the laser spot. After the adsorption of the polymer on the gold surface, the nanorods start to assemble onto the surface in a ring‐shaped pattern that grows radially until the beam is turned off.

An experimental study of the effects of water repellant treatment on the acoustic properties of Kevlar [PDF]
The treatment consisted of immersing samples of Kevlar in a solution of distilled water and Zepel. The samples were then drained, dried in a circulating over, and cured.
