Anomalous Reflection of Acoustic Waves in Air with Metasurfaces at Low Frequency

open access: yesAdvances in Condensed Matter Physics, 2018
An acoustic metasurface made of a composite structure of cavity and membrane is proposed and numerically investigated. The target frequency is in the low frequency regime (570 Hz).

Cataractogenesis after Repeat Laser in situ Keratomileusis

open access: yesCase Reports in Ophthalmology, 2012
There has been the unsubstantiated clinical impression that laser refractive surgery accelerates cataract development along with solid experimental data about the cataractogenic effects of excimer laser treatment.

Opto-acoustic feasibility design of a conical acoustic lens [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, 1978
The opto-acoustic design of a liquid-filled conical acoustic lens is discussed. An approximate model of stacked cylindrical elements is used to estimate the focal line. Final optimization is to be achieved experimentally. Diffraction enables point hydrophones to cover a vertical range of 60\deg .

Subsurface imaging of samples with SAM

open access: yesArchives of Acoustics, 2014
The paper presents unique abilities of the acoustic microscope to penetrate and visualize an interior of materials which are opaque to the light. The construction of an acoustic lens optimized for subsurface imaging is described.

Broadband reflected wavefronts manipulation using structured phase gradient metasurfaces

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2016
Acoustic metasurface (AMS) is a good candidate to manipulate acoustic waves due to special acoustic performs that cannot be realized by traditional materials. In this paper, we design the AMS by using circular-holed cubic arrays.

Mesoscale Acoustical Cylindrical Superlens

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
We demonstrate experimentally for the first time the acoustojet (acoustic jets) formed from acoustic plane wave scattering by a penetrable cylindrical particle with dimensions of several wavelengths. It acts as a superlens with subwavelength localization
