Strength Analysis of Sound Insulation Body in Ring Groove for Acoustic Logging While Drilling
The sound insulation body in ring groove is a kind of sound insulation body that is commonly used in the acoustic logging while drilling. The numerical simulation method has been used to study the maximum equivalent stress area of the sound insulation ...

Seasonal variation in photoperiods, energetic demands, and reproductive constraints are expected to strongly influence bat activity at high latitudes, yet empirical evidence from boreal systems is limited. We used passive acoustic monitoring to examine spatial, temporal, and feeding activity patterns of bats along a boreal river basin in Sweden (64°N ...

This study highlights the importance of the unprotected Yabassi Key Biodiversity Area, Cameroon, for primate conservation in the Gulf of Guinea biodiversity hotspot. We modelled primate distribution patterns and found that historically overlooked parts of the landscape have high species richness and are critical for some threatened species.

Map of Lower sediment (LS) thickness is a surrogate for the distribution of Thorncliffe Formation (TF) and ~75% of TF thickness from the slope of Niagara Escarpment east to Brighton. Inset images show the LS sequence at the Don Valleys brickyards (DVBY) and undeformed TF sand and gravel (~15 m) below Newmarket Till (NT) at sites L and Co.

Discharge Experiment and Structure Optimisation Simulation of Impulse Sound Source
The wave frequency and energy of traditional piezoelectric emission sources used in acoustic logging are limited, which results in an inadequate detection resolution for measuring small-scale geological formations.

Abstract The design of experiments to investigate the combined effects of multiple stressors requires exposing target organisms to multiple combinations of stressor doses. Concurrent manipulation of stressors is often infeasible with wildlife, but long‐lasting health effects allow individual health to be used as an integrator of prior stressor exposure.

Research and Application of High-Resolution Real-Time Extraction of P-Wave Slowness
Acoustic logging is one of the key technologies in oil and gas exploration, where P-wave slowness can be applied for lithology classification, mechanical parameter calculation, and optimization of drilling and completion schemes.

Abstract Marine heatwaves (MHWs) are increasing in high‐latitude oceans, yet behavioural responses of anadromous fishes to these potential stressors during short marine feeding seasons remain poorly understood. We combined acoustic telemetry (internal temperature and depth) with satellite‐derived sea surface temperature data to quantify Arctic char ...

Beaver dam analogues increase amphibian breeding occupancy and bat activity
Abstract Introduction Beavers are ecosystem engineers that can create ponds, increase stream complexity, and enhance biodiversity. To mimic these and other effects, restoration practitioners increasingly install beaver dam analogues (BDAs) in degraded streams.
