Local Thermal Conductivity Patterning in Rotating Lattice Crystals of Anisotropic Sb2S3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microscale control of thermal conductivity in Sb2S3 is demonstrated via laser‐induced rotating lattice crystals. Thermal conductivity imaging reveals marked thermal transport anisotropy, with the c axis featuring amorphous‐like transport, whereas in‐plane directions (a, b) exhibit 3.5x and 1.7x larger thermal conductivity.

A New Acoustic Emission Source Location Method Using Tri-Variate Kernel Density Estimator

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A new AE location method using tri-variate kernel density estimator is developed in this paper. Firstly, combinations of every six arrivals are obtained from a multi-sensor location system, and the preliminary location results are obtained by solving the

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Location of Tensile Damage Source of Carbon Fiber Braided Composites Based on Two-Step Method

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Acoustic emission (AE) source localization is one of the important purposes of nondestructive testing. The localization accuracy reflects the degree of coincidence between the identified location and the actual damage location. However, the anisotropy of

Acoustic emission partial discharge detection technique applied to fault diagnosis: Case studies of generator transformers [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2016
In power transformers, locating the partial discharge (PD) source is as important as identifying it. Acoustic Emission (AE) sensing offers a good solution for both PD detection and PD source location identification.

Numerical analysis of transient combustion response to acoustic oscillations in axisymmetric rocket motors [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
A numerical analysis of unsteady motions in solid rocket motors with a nozzle has been conducted. The formulation treats the complete conservation equations for the gas phase and the one-dimensional equations in the radial direction for the condensed

Selection Strategies for Flexible Pressure Sensor Electrode Materials Toward Ultrafast Response

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals, for the first time, how the electrode–organic interface governs the temporal performance of flexible pressure sensors. By pairing high‐conductivity CVD PEDOT with commonly used metal electrodes, the authors demonstrate that interfacial energy alignment dictates microsecond‐scale response, providing a straightforward design strategy ...
