Structural optimization and analysis of surface acoustic wave biosensor based on numerical method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2019
The biosensor based on surface acoustic wave is of great significance for the application of biological clinical detection, but the sensitivity and specificity of surface acoustic wave biosensor still need to be improved.

Wave–wave interactions and deep ocean acoustics [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2013
Deep ocean acoustics, in the absence of shipping and wildlife, is driven by surface processes. Best understood is the signal generated by non-linear surface wave interactions, the Longuet-Higgins mechanism, which dominates from 0.1 to 10 Hz, and may be significant for another octave.

Acoustic wave science realized by metamaterials

open access: yesNano Convergence, 2017
Artificially structured materials with unit cells at sub-wavelength scale, known as metamaterials, have been widely used to precisely control and manipulate waves thanks to their unconventional properties which cannot be found in nature.

Acoustic superradiance from an optical-superradiance-induced vortex in a Bose-Einstein condensate

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the simultaneous scattering of an angular momentum carrying Laguerre-Gaussian light beam and an acoustic wave from an atomic Bose-Einstein condensate, under condition of optical superradiance induced vortex state.

Acoustic interaction forces between small particles in an ideal fluid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present a theoretical expression for the acoustic interaction force between small spherical particles suspended in an ideal fluid exposed to an external acoustic wave.

Enhanced surface acoustic wave cell sorting by 3D microfluidic-chip design.

open access: yesLab on a Chip, 2017
We demonstrate an acoustic wave driven microfluidic cell sorter that combines advantages of multilayer device fabrication with planar surface acoustic wave excitation.

Wave number–spiral acoustic tweezers for dynamic and reconfigurable manipulation of particles and cells

open access: yesScience Advances, 2019
Acoustic tweezers with frequency multiplexing enable dynamic manipulation of micro-objects using dual-channel excitation. Acoustic tweezers have recently raised great interest across many fields including biology, chemistry, engineering, and medicine, as

Shape of the acoustic gravitational wave power spectrum from a first order phase transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We present results from large-scale numerical simulations of a first order thermal phase transition in the early Universe, in order to explore the shape of the acoustic gravitational wave and the velocity power spectra.
