From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

Methods for separating the noise produced by the wheels and track during a train pass-by
Rolling noise is produced by vibration of the wheels and track, induced by their combined surface roughness. It is important to know the relative contributions of the different sources, as this affects noise control strategies as well as acceptance ...

Source-time dominant modeling of the Doppler shift for the auralization of moving sources
When developing an auralization for acoustic scenarios involving moving sources and receivers, one key feature is the ability to simulate the Doppler shift, i.e., the changing frequency content from the receiver’s perspective.

An Acoustical Study on the TMJ Sounds.
For the purpose of investigating to clarify the differential diagnosis and treatment of TMJ dysfunction, The TMJ sounds were analysed acoustically using accelerometers. The 101 TMJ sounds were recorded from 20 patients. Jaw movement and electromyogram (EMG) were recorded simultaneously. Comparison of the TMJ sounds to the jaw movement and EMG were made.

Twin Crystal Moiré Metasurfaces for Crossing Flat‐Band Transport
This study introduces twin crystal moiré metasurfaces, breaking in‐plane symmetry to enable reconfigurable acoustic wave manipulation. By adjusting the twin angle and interlayer twist angle, various combinations of hyperbolic, flat bands, and elliptic states can be synthesized in the system.

Spectral Weighting of Monaural Cues for Auditory Localization in Sagittal Planes
Localization of sound sources in sagittal planes significantly relies on monaural spectral cues. These cues are primarily derived from the direction-specific filtering of the pinnae.

Discovering acoustic structure of novel sounds [PDF]
Natural sounds have substantial acoustic structure (predictability, nonrandomness) in their spectral and temporal compositions. Listeners are expected to exploit this structure to distinguish simultaneous sound sources; however, previous studies confounded acoustic structure and listening experience.

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward
