Composite acousto-optical modulation
We propose a composite acousto-optical modulation (AOM) scheme for wide-band, efficient modulation of CW and pulsed lasers. We show that by adjusting the amplitudes and phases of weakly-driven daughter AOMs, diffraction beyond the Bragg condition can be achieved with exceptional efficiencies.

Quantum acousto-optic transducer for superconducting qubits [PDF]
We propose theory for a reversible quantum transducer connecting superconducting qubits and optical photons using acoustic waves in piezoelectrics. The proposed device consists of an integrated acousto-optic resonator that utilizes stimulated Brillouin ...

Design and analysis of a novel noncollinear acousto-optic tunable filter [PDF]
The design of a noncollinear acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) is commonly based on parallel tangent momentum-matching condition. Previous studies have either moving parts or modulation.

Acousto-optics of Biaxial Crystals [PDF]
An original program is developed for examination of acousto-optic interaction in biaxial crystals. The program makes it possible to calculate for an arbitrary crystal cut all parameters of optical and acoustic waves, frequency dependences of the Bragg ...

Theoretical and numerical investigations of parametric transfer via difference frequency generation for indirect mid-infrared pulse shaping [PDF]
We theoretically and numerically investigate indirect mid-infrared pulse shaping via parametric transfer, specifically difference-frequency generation. We define a quantitative measure for the fidelity of parametric transfer, and investigate the effect ...
