Acoustofluidic Fluorescence Activated Cell Sorter [PDF]
Selective isolation of cell subpopulations with defined biological characteristics is crucial for many biological studies and clinical applications. In this work, we present the development of an acoustofluidic fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS) device that simultaneously performs on-demand, high-throughput, high-resolution cell detection and ...

Miniature Robotic Swimmer with Precise 2D Motion Control via Acoustic Vortex‐Induced Propulsion
In this work, a miniature robotic swimmer achieves precise 2D motion using sound waves with customized 3D‐printed lenses. Localized acoustic vortices drive both translation and rotation of the swimmer without mechanical parts. This contactless approach offers a novel route to controlled micro‐scale movement, with promising applications in biomedical ...

A full‐domain 3D digital twin of a standing surface acoustic wave (SSAW) device on 128° YX LiNbO3 is developed and experimentally validated. The predictive power of the model is confirmed by electrical characterisation and laser Doppler vibrometry measurements, which show excellent agreement with simulations.

CAMP: Closed‐Loop Acoustic‐Magnetic Propulsion of Microrobots for Precision Cell Manipulation
This work demonstrates, for the first time, closed‐loop control of acoustically driven, magnetically steerable microrobots with automated speed modulation. Closed‐loop navigation allows guided motion and speed control, allowing highly accurate trajectory following. pen‐loop control enables mammalian cell manipulation via microrobots, highlighting their

Acoustofluidic harvesting of microalgae on a single chip [PDF]
We present an on-chip acoustofluidic platform for harvesting a target microalgal species from a heterogeneous population of cells and particles based on their size, density, and compressibility in a rapid, non-invasive, energy-efficient, continuously running, and automated manner.
