The application of exercise stress cardiovascular magnetic resonance in patients with suspected dilated cardiomyopathy

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, 2020
Objectives The imaging features of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) overlap with physiological exercise-induced cardiac remodeling in active and otherwise healthy individuals. Distinguishing the two conditions is challenging.

Identifying Cytokine Motif‐Containing, Immunomodulatory Bacterial Proteins in Human Gut Microbiome

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By building and constructing HMM (Upper left, blue), the authors identify CMCPs in bacteria genomes and CRC related metagenomes and enriched CRC‐related CMCPs (Upper right, blue). They analyze sequence and structural similarity of hits (Lower left, green), test function with engineered EcN delivered to tumors in a mouse tumor model (Lower right, pink ...

Relationship Between Retinal Layer Thickness and Genetic Susceptibility to Age-Related Macular Degeneration in Asian Populations

open access: yesOphthalmology Science, 2023
Purpose: For OCT retinal thickness measurements to be used as a prodromal age-related macular degeneration (AMD) risk marker, the 3-dimensional (3D) topographic variation of the relationship between genetic susceptibility to AMD and retinal thickness ...

The ACP–GP relationship [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of General Practice, 2019
The advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) role has been somewhat controversial since its initial inception, with a delightful array of fairly derogatory opinions aired and nicknames used, my personal favourite being ‘noctor’ — not a doctor. I entirely understand how and why this has happened.

Laboratory and field evaluation of acetic acid-based lures for male Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) is a vector of a pathogen associated with greening and thus a major problem in citriculture worldwide. Lures are much needed for improving ACP trapping systems for monitoring populations and surveillance.

Branching ratios and CP asymmetries of $B \to K \eta^{(\prime)}$ decays in the pQCD approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We calculate the branching ratios and CP violating asymmetries of the four $B \to K \etap$ decays in the perturbative QCD (pQCD) factorization approach.

The BnTFL1‐BnJAM3‐BnSWEETs Module Orchestrates Seed Storage Reserve Accumulation in Brassica napus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 form a complex that facilitates the transport of soluble sugars from the seed coat to the embryo by directly activating the expression of BnSWEETs. Furthermore, BnaC03.TFL1 and BnaA01.JAM3 work cooperatively to promote soluble sugar and oil production while suppressing protein deposition.
