DNA barcoding and species boundary delimitation of selected species of Chinese Acridoidea (Orthoptera: Caelifera). [PDF]
We tested the performance of DNA barcoding in Acridoidea and attempted to solve species boundary delimitation problems in selected groups using COI barcodes. Three analysis methods were applied to reconstruct the phylogeny.

The neglect of nonnative orthopterans as potential invaders: A call for awareness
The spread of nonnative orthopterans. Abstract Despite the potential ecological and economic impacts of invasive species, there is a dearth of data on the presence, impacts, and management implications of potentially invasive Orthoptera species. This lack of research and inconsistent data, including risk screenings and impact assessments, is especially

Fauna, structure of communities and acoustic signals of grasshoppers (Orthoptera, Acridoidea) in environs of the Dzhanybek Research Station [PDF]
36 grasshopper species were showed for environs of the Dzhanybek Research Station. Features of their phenology and biotopical preference were investigated. Structure of grasshopper communities in common types of biotopes is discussed.

Reversible Temperature Sensing using Blue‐Winged Grasshopper Coloracris azureus Wings
The work shows that the blue‐wings of the grasshopper Coloracris azureus are a non‐toxic, biobased, and biodegradable temperature sensing material. With a thickness of only ≈3 µm, the flexible blue‐winged film shows reversible and steady thermochromic properties. Important for potential applications, the temperature‐induced color changes are power‐free
