New acritarch taxa from the Middle and Upper Devonian (Givetian–Frasnian) of western Canada

open access: yes, 1991
Eight new acritarch species, four of which are assigned to new genera, are described from Givetian and Frasnian strata of Alberta and the Northwest Territories. The new taxa are Apectosphaeridium apoplanium n.gen. et sp., Asyncosmium isum n.gen. et sp.,

PALYNOSTRATIGRAPHY AND PACAIEOGEOGRAPHY OF EARLY PEFIMM STRATA IN THE ZAGROS BASIN, SOUTHEAST SOUTHWEST IRAN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1997
A totall of 500 Early Permian samples from the Chal-i-Sheh Formation in the Zagros Basin were examined palynollogically in order to determine the stratigraphical age of the formation and to assess the palaeogeopaphicd relatianships of this basin to the ...

Late Permian to Early Triassic changes in acritarch assemblages and morphology in the Boreal Arctic: New data from the Finnmark Platform

open access: yes, 2018
The Late Permian extinction interval is in many marine locations characterized by the development of anoxic conditions. The Finnmark Platform is one of few exceptions, as sedimentological and palynofacies evidence indicate oxygenated conditions ...

Ediacaran acritarch biota from the Giles 1 drillhole, Officer Basin, Australia, and its potential for biostratigraphic correlation

open access: yes, 2008
The remarkable diversification of single-celled photosynthesising biota of algal and other as yet unknown affinities (acritarchs), followed by the diversification of metazoans, occurred during the Ediacaran Period, which is marked by extreme climatic and

PALYNOLOGICAL STUDY OF PALEOZOIC SEDIMENTS OF THE CHAL-I-SHEH AREA, SOUTHWESTERN IRAN [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, 1993
The Paleozoic sediments of the Chal-i-Sheh area in southwestern Iran comprising of Mila Formation, Ilebek Formation and Faraghan Formation, were studied palynologically. The samples containing well-preserved palynomorphs include acritarchs, chitinozoans,
