Interaction Between Plants Through Litter Input in Mangrove Succession in the Red River Delta

open access: yesJournal of Vegetation Science, Volume 36, Issue 1, January/February 2025.
Is litter decomposition of pioneer species involved in species recruitment by releasing allelochemicals in sediments? Previous studies addressed this question mainly in terrestrial ecosystems, while little is known about coastal wetlands such as mangroves. The present work is the first assessment of the direct effect of mangrove leaf litter addition on

Ultrastructural changes in gametophytes of Acrostichum aureum L. cultured in different sodium chloride concentrations

open access: yesBiologia plantarum, 1997
Gametophytes cultured in solutions containing 0.0 to 0.7 % NaCl exhibited no change in ultra structural organization of chloroplasts. In 1.0% NaCl-grown gametophytes, there were thinner granal stacks, relatively larger spaces between granal thylakoidal membranes and larger plastoglobuli in the chloroplasts.

A review of the benefits and limitations of waste nutrient treatment in aquaculture pond facilities

open access: yesReviews in Aquaculture, Volume 16, Issue 4, Page 1766-1786, September 2024.
This review examined the state‐of‐knowledge of treatment options for managing waste nutrients in aquaculture pond facilities to minimize environmental impacts in adjacent waterways. It showed that a wide range of low and high technology options are available but they range from inefficient and unreliable to prohibitively expensive for broadscale use ...
