Bulk photopolymerization of (met)acrylates

open access: yes, 2019
Meth(acrylate) polymers are prepared by polymerization according to the radical mechanism. This is possible due to the occurrence of unsaturated double bonds (vinyl groups) in monomers.

Rare‐Earth Mediated Engineering in ZnSe@ZnS:Eu3+ to Simultaneously Achieve Structural Modulation and Atomic Eu Doping Sites for X‐Ray Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A dual hard‐base anchoring strategy was developed to synthesize ZnSe@ZnS:Eu3+ quantum dots, leveraging fluoride‐oleylamine interactions to create surface atomic Eu doping sites. By precisely tuning temperature, Eu3+ concentration, and fluoride levels, we obtain morphologies ranging from tip growth to coupled flower‐like structures.

Deep Eutectic Polymer Electrolyte with Competitive Hydrogen‐Bonding Coordination for High‐Voltage Nickel‐rich Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To stabilize high‐voltage Li||NCM811 batteries, we develop an in situ polymerized deep‐eutectic electrolyte (p‐DEPE) featuring competitive hydrogen‐bonding coordination. This design weakens Ni4+ adsorption, suppresses oxygen release, and enhances interfacial stability.

Facing the problem of the bis(acetylacetonato)cobalt(II)-mediated radical polymerization of acrylates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Cobalt-Mediated Radical Polymerization (CMRP) is an efficient tool for polymerizing acrylates and vinyl esters. However, a challenge in CMRP remains in controlling the polymerization of both types of monomers with the same cobalt complex.

Ultra‐Radiostable Covalent Conformationally Interlocked Networks Enabling a Universal Radiometal‐Labeling Platform for Cancer Radioembolization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

An Electrically Conducting Water‐based Reversible Adhesive

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A water‐based reversible glue is demonstrated. The glue has electrical properties similar to other conducting adhesives but can detach after an alkaline wash. Metal fillers are added to an aqueous mixture of polymer nanoparticles synthesized by emulsion polymerization. The nanoparticles are stabilized by poly(acrylic acid) chains bonded to them. The pH‐
