Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2003AbstractThe application of rubber seed oil (RSO) and epoxidized RSO (ERSO) as a plasticizer in acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) was studied using RSO and ERSO with different levels of epoxidation. The results indicated that ERSO could be used as a less leachable and low volatility plasticizer for NBR.

Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2006The graft copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) onto butadiene rubber (BR) was carried out in toluene at 80°C, using dibenzoyl-peroxide (BPO) as initiator. The synthesized poly acrylonitrile-grafted-butadiene rubber (AN-g-BR) was characterized by N% elemental analysis and Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy.
