INFECTION OF WOUNDS WITH ACTINOMYCES
The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. British volume, 19511. Six cases of infection of wounds with actinomyces are described alld tile cultural characteristics of tile organisms are discussed. 2. In three patients the infecting organism was an unusual aerobic form. 3. Possible sources of infection are considered. 4. The chronicity of the condition and the difficulty in treatment are stressed.

Actinomyces in Forensic Practice

After resuscitation, surgical exploration revealed a purulent pericardial effusion with tamponade and a liver abscess.

Pulmonary actinomyces in a child
Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health, 1985Abstract Pulmonary actinomycosis is rare in Australian children. A patient with the condition is described in whom a diagnosis was made by open lung biopsy. She was treated successfully with penicillin and tetracycline.
