Towards Contextual Action Recognition and Target Localization with Active Allocation of Attention [PDF]
Exploratory gaze movements are fundamental for gathering the most relevant information regarding the partner during social interactions. We have designed and implemented a system for dynamic attention allocation which is able to actively control gaze ...

Decoding EEG Rhythms During Action Observation, Motor Imagery, and Execution for Standing and Sitting [PDF]
Event-related desynchronization and synchronization (ERD/S) and movement-related cortical potential (MRCP) play an important role in brain-computer interfaces (BCI) for lower limb rehabilitation, particularly in standing and sitting.

Action priming following action observation is thought to be caused by the observed action kinematics being represented in the same brain areas as those used for action execution.

Vacuum Solutions of Classical Gravity on Cyclic Groups from Noncommutative Geometry [PDF]
Based on the observation that the moduli of a link variable on a cyclic group modify Connes' distance on this group, we construct several action functionals for this link variable within the framework of noncommutative geometry.

Being observed magnifies action. [PDF]
We test the hypothesis that people, when observed, perceive their actions as more substantial because they add the audience's perspective to their own perspective. We find that participants who were observed while eating (Study 1) or learned they were observed after eating (Study 2) recalled eating a larger portion than unobserved participants.

Prediction error induced motor contagions in human behaviors
Motor contagions refer to implicit effects on one's actions induced by observed actions. Motor contagions are believed to be induced simply by action observation and cause an observer's action to become similar to the action observed.

The role of transients in action observation [PDF]
A large number of studies have now described the various ways in which the observation of another person's dynamic movement can influence the speed with which the observer is able to prepare a motor action themselves. The typical results are most often explained with reference to theories that link perception and action.

Overt orienting of spatial attention and corticospinal excitability during action observation are unrelated [PDF]
Observing moving body parts can automatically activate topographically corresponding motor representations in the primary motor cortex (M1), the so-called direct matching.
