Detecting assembly actions by scene observation
Proceedings 2000 International Conference on Image Processing (Cat. No.00CH37101), 2002We present a fast and reliable method to analyse an image sequence where two human hands perform assembly actions. Our classifier to detect the initial skin coloured regions is based on a polynomial classifier of sixth degree. For each region a judgement is calculated using two cues. The first cue is motion information obtained from a difference image.

Observations on the Duration of Action of Suxamethonium in the Dog
British Veterinary Journal, 1978SUMMARY The duration of action of a dose of 0.3 mg/kg of suxamethonium chloride was investigated using the evoked electrical and mechanical response to stimulation of the ulnar nerve. A mean time of 25 min was required for restoration of 50% of the muscle activity and 29 min for a complete recovery.

Simultaneous action execution and observation optimise grasping actions
Experimental Brain Research, 2013Action observation and execution share overlapping neural resonating mechanisms. In the present study, we sought to examine the effect of the activation of this system during concurrent movement observation and execution in a prehension task, when no a priori information about the requirements of grasping action was available. Although it is known that
