Activation of Glassy Carbon Electrodes by Polishing with Ceramics Particles [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan, 1987
Abstract Glassy carbon electrode polished with ceramics particles (TiB2, SiC, and TiC) showed higher oxidation rate of ascorbic acid. The activation seems to depend on hardness of glassy carbon and ceramics particles and to be influenced by fresh edges formed on glassy carbon surface.

Signal Enhancement of Hydroquinone and Catechol on Their Simultaneous Determination

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2017
An activated glassy carbon electrode (GCE), prepared by applying a constant oxidation potential, can simultaneously determine hydroquinone (HQ) and catechol (CC). Here, we report on the modification of the electrochemical activation process of the GCE by

Electrocatalytic Oxidation of Hydrazine at Epinephrine Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode (EPMGCE). [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2003
A thin film of epinephrine (EP) was electrochemically deposited on the surface of glassy carbon electrode previously activated in NaHCO3 solution. The cyclic voltammograms of the modified electrode indicate that the surface confined EP are strongly ...
