Activation Anomaly Analysis [PDF]
Inspired by recent advances in coverage-guided analysis of neural networks, we propose a novel anomaly detection method. We show that the hidden activation values contain information useful to distinguish between normal and anomalous samples. Our approach combines three neural networks in a purely data-driven end-to-end model.

Cosmogenic-neutron activation of TeO2 and implications for neutrinoless double- β decay experiments [PDF]
Flux-averaged cross sections for cosmogenic-neutron activation of natural tellurium were measured using a neutron beam containing neutrons of kinetic energies up to ∼800 MeV and having an energy spectrum similar to that of cosmic-ray neutrons at sea ...

Functional Optical Topography Analysis Using Statistical Parametric Mapping (SPM) Methodology with and without Physiological Confounds [PDF]
Functional optical topography (OT) measures the changes in oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin (HbO(2), HHb) across multiple brain sites which occur in response to neuronal activation of the cerebral cortex.

Underwater detection of dangerous substances: status the SABAT project [PDF]
The Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) plays an exceptional role in the modern nuclear engineering, especially in detection of hazardous substances. However, in the aquatic environment, there are still many problems to be solved for effective usage of ...

Oscillation dynamics underlie functional switching of NF-κB for B-cell activation. [PDF]
Transcription factor nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) shows cooperative switch-like activation followed by prolonged oscillatory nuclear translocation in response to extracellular stimuli.

Linear stability of planar premixed flames: reactive Navier-Stokes equations with finite activation energy and arbitrary Lewis number [PDF]
A numerical shooting method for performing linear stability analyses of travelling waves is described and applied to the problem of freely propagating planar premixed flames.

Efficiency analysis of load balancing games with and without activation costs [PDF]
In this paper, we study two models of resource allocation games: the classical load-balancing game and its new variant involving resource activation costs.

HIV-1 induces in vivo platelet activation by enhancing platelet NOX2 activity. [PDF]
OBJECTIVES: HIV-1 patients show increased platelet activation, but the mechanisms involved are not completely clarified. We speculated that HIV-1 might induce in vivo platelet activation by enhancing platelet NOX2-related oxidative stress.

Synergistic effects of targeted PI3K signaling inhibition and chemotherapy in liposarcoma. [PDF]
While liposarcoma is the second most common soft tissue malignant tumor, the molecular pathogenesis in this malignancy is poorly understood. Our goal was therefore to expand the understanding of molecular mechanisms that drive liposarcoma and identify ...

Investigation of c-Jun N-terminal Kinase 2 Regulation [PDF]
JNK2). This protein is unique in that it can autophosphorylate, or phosphorylate itself. It was found that these proteins tend to form aggregates of four, or tetramers, when inactive and remain as single units, or monomers, when active.
