Self-Optimizing Mechanisms for EMF Reduction in Heterogeneous Networks
This paper focuses on the exposure to Radio Frequency (RF) Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) and on optimization methods to reduce it. Within the FP7 LEXNET project, an Exposure Index (EI) has been defined that aggregates the essential components that impact ...

Optimising the structure of a cascaded modular battery system for enhancing the performance of battery packs [PDF]
The overall performance of battery packs may be affected by imbalances between the series connected cells which is more likely in packs with high number of cells needed to provide a high voltage as needed for example in electric vehicles.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Due to the low cost, small size, and ease of control, the switched-capacitor (SC) battery equalizers are promising among active balancing methods. However, it is difficult to achieve the full cell equalization for the SC equalizers due to the inevitable ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Implementation of a LiFePO4 battery charger for cell balancing application
Cell imbalance has always happened in the series-connected battery. Series-connected battery needs to be balanced to maintain capacity and maximize the batteries lifespan. Cell balancing helps to dispart energy equally among battery cells.
